Doh! It seems that every time you purchase a bag of chips, not only is the bag more expensive, but there are less chips than ever.  This is frustrating, deceptive, and leaves us all feeling like we did not get the true value of our dollars. We are not alone, Kitchen Cabinet Kings did a study on this back in 2018 and the results were interesting. Lets look at the top selling chip brands percentage ‘air’ and explore the best value alternatives.

Across the board the average amount of air in a bag of these chips were 43%. However, the healthier options shown below have less ‘air’, and a better price per chip.

So, if you are like me and these small value deceptions grind your gears, maybe now you can get a better value on your next summer barbeque.
